What is a weighted blanket? 

A weighted blanket is a therapeutic blanket that is typically 3-5 times heavier than your typical duvet, quilt or comforter.

Designed to weigh approximately 10% of your total body weight, a weighted blanket provides the same incredible feeling you experience when being hugged or cuddled.

Which weight should I choose?

Our weighted blanket is available in two different weights:

• 6.8kg or 9 kg options

Your weighted blanket should be roughly 10% of your body weight. If you're between weights, we recommend you simply go with the higher weight (heavier blanket). 

What size is the weighted blanket?

Our weighted blanket size is 150cm x 200cm (double bed size).

Both weighted blanket weights have the same size dimensions. Please note that the weighted blanket is not intended to be used as a quilt replacement. 

Our weighted blanket has been designed for single person use as partners can disturb your weight distribution. If your partner wishes to also use a weighted blanket, we suggest purchasing two.

What are the weighted blankets made out of? 

Every Drift Blanket Co. weighted blanket contains premium glass-bead technology that includes safe, non-toxic and hypo-allergenic glass beads which mould to the natural contour of your body. 

Our super-soft and ultra breathable lightweight cover is made from a proprietary blend of cotton and bamboo, allowing for cooling airflow and perfect body temperature control. All of our weighted blankets & covers are Oeko-Tex certified to ensure they are free from any harmful chemicals or toxins making it suitable for use on sensitive skin. 

Am I able to wash my weighted blanket?

All of our weighted blankets have an easily removable outer cover that is completely machine washable. Simply remove the inner weighted blanket from the outer cover and wash separately on a gentle cycle. 

To ensure the longevity of your weighted blanket and the upkeep of fabric integrity, we recommend washing the inner weighted blanket layer by hand. To dry the blanket, we suggest air drying or tumble drying on air only setting. 

Our weighted blankets can also be dry cleaned. 

How do I best protect my weighted blanket? 
 

Avoid direct sources of heat, as heat can damage the internal fine-glass sand. 

Despite being massive pet lovers, especially mini dachshunds, we can't guarantee that our high-quality fabrics are scratch or bite-proof! We recommend not leaving your beloved pet or child unattended under the heavy blanket. 

Selfies with your pooch and weighted blanket are however highly encouraged!
